The CTC Competition 2023 Winners group was held at Stockholms Allmänna Lawntennisklubb (SALK) 15-17 September 2023. Participating clubs were SALK, Tennis Club Padova 1912, Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, Villa Primrose Bordeaux, LTTC Rot-Weiss Berlin and I. Cesky Lawn-Tenis Klub Praha.

On Friday 15 September, matches between Real Club de Polo de Barcelona and SALK, and between Villa Primrose Bordeaux and LLTC Rot-Weiss Berlin, took place, ending with clear victories of the hosting club and of the Germans.

On Saturday 16 September, the matches become more fierce:

Tennis Club Padova (the defending champion) played SALK: the two teams were even after the singles matches, then the Italians won the men’s doubles and the over thirty-five mixed doubles.

I.Cersky Lawn-Tennis Club Praha qualified for the final by beating LLTC Rot-Weiss Berlin.

On Sunday 17 September the home team defeated LLTC Rot-Weiss Berlin and won the third place, while in the final Tennis Club Padova and I.Cersky Lawn-Tennis Club Praha had a fantastic opportunity to play a re-match of the previous year’s final held in Athens.

Tennis Club Padova re-won the championship by defeating I.Cersky Lawn-Tennis Club Praha six matches to three, winning the two over forty-five men’s singles, the over thirty-five women’s single, one of the two over thirty-five men’s singles, the men’s double and the over thirty-five mixed doubles.

Without any hesitation, all the participants in the 2023 CTC Senior Competition extend special thanks and gratitude to the director of SALK, Ms. Jenny Lindatröm, for the great professionalism and profound humanity demonstrated in every gesture and in every word throughout the wonderful three days of the tournament.
