2011 CTC U-12 CARRICKMINES CUP SEPT 1-3

Carrickmines was delighted to host the CTC U/12 Carrickmines Cup for the 5th successive year.

Six teams representing some of Europe’s largest and most famous clubs participated. Sixty young players, their coaches and some parents travelled to Dublin to play against some of Irelands top juniors.

The following famous clubs played in this year’s event:

  • Carrickmines (Dublin)
  • Cumberland LTC  (London)
  • RC de Tenis (Barcelona)
  • Real Club de Polo (Barcelona)
  • I.Cesky (Prague)
  • RC Magalina (Santander)

The clubs were divided in two sections of three teams with the top four winning through to the semi finals.

In the first semi final Carrickmines defeated 1899 RC de Tenis Barcelona, while I.Cesky defeated Cumberland in the other semi final.

 I.Cesky comprehensively won the final (7-1) and continues to set the highest standards with their 5th successive win. Well done to them and all the participants on a great tournament!
