29th CTC Annual General Meeting

The Centenary Tennis Clubs Association held its 29th Annual General Meeting on Saturday November 16, 2024 in Barcelona.

Representatives from 20 different member Clubs attended the session that was chaired by the organization’s president Jordi Cambra, also president of RCTB-1899.

The Assembly approved the admittance of nine new clubs: Goteborg Lawn Tennis Club (Sweden), Virtus Tennis 125 of Bologna (Italy), G.L.T.C. Het Spieghel (The Netherlands), Tennis Club of Rochester and Los Angeles Tennis Club (USA), Tennis Club de Reims (France), South Cowichan Lawn Tennis Club (Canada) and the first club from New Zealand, the Parnel Lawn Tennis Club. The Assembly also approved the readmittance of Le Stade Français (France) bringing the total number of clubs to 96 in 29 countries.

The Assembly heard details of the activities organized in 2024, when CTC organized besides the regular CTC competitions, CTC colloquiums and charitable events to showcase the social values the clubs can have with their own community. The Association has also implemented the Erasmus Programme and next year will launch the Green Tennis Project, a European Union initiative to develop the tools to make tennis more sustainable.

Looking ahead 2025 looks set to be another year full of activities with member clubs including Yokohama International Tennis Community (Japan), TC Venezia (Italy), Chandos Lawn Tennis Club (UK) and Westside Tennis Club, California Tennis Club, Philadelphia Cricket Club and Longwood Cricket Club (USA) amongst those to have committed to organize events.
