KLTK victory at CTC 35/45 The Northern Lawn Tennis Club

A fantastic weekend in The Northern Manchester for the CTC 35/45 tournament, which brought together the host club with KLTK Stockholm, LTTC Rot-Weiß Berlin and Real Club de Polo Barcelona. The Swedish club won a hard-fought competition.

In Saturday’s semi-final, Royal faced the strong RC Polo from Barcelona. After a tight series of matches, it was decided in mixed doubles, where the Swedish pair stepped forward and won 10–8 in a nerve-wracking super tiebreak.

Sunday’s final was played against the home team Manchester, who defeated Berlin on Saturday. Due to rain, the final matches were moved to artificial turf – something that would prove to benefit KLTK. The predictions came true, although nerves needed to be calmed since some incredible tiebreaks were required to win the title.

Incredible tennis, great sportsmanship, and plenty of laughs both on and off the court. An exceptionally well-organized CTC weekend by The Northern manager Jonathan Kinsella.

Congratulations to team captain Lina Westberg and her fellow team members Kristina Ebenius, Johan Hesser, Christian Krüger, David Hedengren and Adam Myhrman!
