Centenary Tennis Clubs Association is a participant in ‘GreenTennis’, a pioneering new initiative from Erasmus+.
Tennis Europe co-founded the project with the European Union and its Vice-President Cem Tinaz commented, «We are thrilled to lead the ‘Tennis for a Greener Future’ project, which addresses the urgent need for environmental sustainability. Tennis, with its global popularity, presents a unique opportunity to inspire eco-friendly practices and create a lasting impact. By working closely with our key partners, we will maximize our efforts to reduce the sport’s environmental footprint and set new standards for sustainability in tennis. Our goal is to transform tennis into a leading example of how sports can drive meaningful environmental change.»
Joining us in the venture, in addition to Tennis Europe, are the Hungarian Tennis Association (HUN), Fundación Universitaria San Antonio (ESP), Stfitelsen We Play Green (NOR), AIforLives GmbH (GER), Mobile Adventure (POL) and Collective Innovation AS (NOR).

The Centenary Tennis Clubs Association and Collective Innovation meet to work on the next steps of the GreenTennis Project.
The Centenary Tennis Clubs Association attended the first face-to-face meeting of GreenTennis, a project that aims to develop practices and tools to promote environmental awareness within the tennis community. The meeting, chaired by Mr Cem Tinaz, TE Vice-President, took place on 29 January in Oslo at the Collective Innovation venue.
The roles and tasks for the first part of the project were defined and will focus on researching the status of environmental sustainability in tennis. This first chapter was led by UCAM, the Catholic University of Murcia, which belongs to the Fundación Universitaria San Antonio. More info.
