The Tennis Club de Lyon was delighted to host one of the CTC Junior events in the U16 age group for the first time, which took place from the 4th to the 6th of September 2026. It was a pleasure to welcome Northern LTC and Fitzwilliam LTC to sunny Lyon for the event.
The juniors played in a round-robin format on the club’s clay courts, with two teams representing the Tennis Club de Lyon. Play started for some on Friday afternoon and finished on Sunday morning, ensuring as many matches as possible for the juniors. The club was even able to organise additional play on Sunday morning, mixing the teams.
Over the three days, there were some very interesting and competitive matches, with Fitzwilliam LTC emerging as the proud winners, closely followed by Northern LTC. Despite the hot weather, especially in the afternoons, the juniors showed an amazing fighting spirit.
There was a great atmosphere on and off the court, and on Saturday night, everyone enjoyed a fun night out at a nice restaurant in the centre of Lyon.
