Success for Carrickmines and RST La Magdalena Junior Exchange

Irish club Carrickmines joined up with the Real Sociedad de Tenis de La Magdalena of Santander, Spain, following last year’s successful junior exchange. This is a wonderful opportunity for juniors from both clubs to experience tennis and social activities. It again proved to be very successful and enjoyable for all participants.

Fourteen junior players took part on this occasion, and each stayed with host families. In Carrickmines, for the first two weeks of July, they trained and played matches in the club every day. Many of the players returned from last year, enjoying the intensive training in each club. Both clubs also organised social activities and a shopping trips.

The juniors from both clubs returned to Santander for the last two weeks in July on the second part of the exchange and were again looked after superbly!

A special thanks to the organisers from both clubs and the host families for giving the juniors a great cultural and tennis experience.
