Carrickmines were delighted to host for the first time a CTC Friendly Doubles tournament. The visitors were East Glos and Cumberland from the UK as well as the Wiener Athletik Club (WAC) from Austria.
It was a great day of tennis, with all clubs playing against each other in a round robin at the following levels: Open, Over 45s and Over 55s, and Ladies’ and Men’s Doubles.
Carrickmines drew 3–3 with WAC in the final match, but were crowned overall champions as they had picked up more points in their other matches.
Partying went late into the evening and a great time was had by all.
