For a third year, Carrickmines joined up recently with the Real Sociedad de Tenis de La Magdalena (Santander) for a junior exchange. The event was a great success, and once again presented a wonderful opportunity for juniors from both clubs to experience tennis and social activities, thanks to the efforts of organisers Juan (Santander) and Denise (Carrickmines).
Seventeen junior players participated this July, and each stayed with host families. In Carrickmines, for the first two weeks of July, they trained and played matches in the club every day. Many of the players were returning having participated in 2018, and were eager to participate in the intensive training. Both clubs also organised social activities and shopping trips to complement the on-court activities.
The CTC extends a special thank you to the host families for giving the junior players a great cultural and tennis experience.
