CTC Junior Player Exchange

Fourteen junior players from the Real Club de Tennis Barcelona-1899 travelled with their coach to Dublin recently, where they spent the first two weeks of July. The children stayed with local families, training and playing matches at the Carrickmines LTC club every day.

Many of the juniors had previously visited Ireland to compete in the annual CTC U12 tournament in Dublin.

Following the completion of the first phase, juniors from Carrickmines and their coach returned to Barcelona where they spent the last two weeks in July as the second part of the exchange.

A comprehensive tennis and social program was put together by both clubs, with the juniors enjoying a month of cultural and tennis activities, and building up friendships.

The experience was a great success and we look forward to repeating the project in future years.
