The Real Club de Tenis Barcelona 1899 hosted the RCTB 1899 Cup during the weekend of 26-27 August. The tournament is for Centenary Tennis Clubs Association juniors aged under 14.
Four teams have taken part on this occasion, with the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, the Irish team Carrickmines and the I.CLTK Prague team joining the host Club.
All teams have been able to play against each other in a round robin format and the eventual winner was the I.CLTK from Prague, after scoring a total of 15 wins. The host Club was the runner-up with 12 wins, followed by the Real Club de Polo (6) and Carrickmines in fourth place (3).
The Vice President of the RCTB 1899, Mr Ignacio Soler Cabot attended the prize giving ceremony, offering the Trophy to the captain of the wining team and a medal of the Centenary Tennis Clubs Association to all the participants. He was also able to take advantage of the opportunity to encourage players to persist on their dream of enjoying the game of tennis.
