Ladies Recreation Club

Since 2007, the Hong Kong Ladies Recreation Club (LRC) has proudly hosted its annual Tennis Charity Event during Pink October, raising vital funds for the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation. Now in its 19th year, the tradition continues with even greater enthusiasm and community spirit.

This year, LRC organized two vibrant Pink Ribbon Tennis Charity Events: a Mixed Doubles Tournament and a Ladies Doubles Tournament, each drawing impressive participation.

  • On Saturday, 18 October, 32 mixed doubles pairs (64 players) took to the courts.
  • On Monday, 20 October, the Ladies Doubles event welcomed 30 pairs (60 players).

Both tournaments began with a round-robin format across eight courts, culminating in exciting semi-finals and finals determined by draw.

The Mixed Doubles event concluded with a lively buffet dinner and lucky draw, while the Ladies Doubles tournament was followed by a celebratory buffet lunch. Together, these events raised an outstanding HK$120,000 (approx. €13,500) for the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation — a true testament to the generosity and spirit of the LRC community.

In addition to tennis, LRC expanded its Pink Ribbon initiative this year to include Pickleball, Mahjong, Zumba, Aqua and Badminton events, further engaging members in support of a meaningful cause.
