Marketa Vondrousova – CTC player scales new heights


Marketa Vondrousova, born in 1999, is a member of CTC member club I.CLTK Praha. Everybody could identify her talent from a very early age. In 2009, Marketa (photo: 2nd from the left) attended the CTC U12 Carrickmines Cup in Dublin as the youngest player of the team from Prague.

During her young career she has already won two European Junior Championship doubles gold medals (under 14 and Under 18), reached the pinnacle of the sport as the world no. 1 in the ITF Juniors ranking and won the Australian Open junior doubles title with Miriam Kolodziejova (photo: 4th from the left). This year she played her first Fed Cup match and achieved her landmark first WTA title in Biel, Switzerland. Her best WTA ranking so far is 61.

Everyone at the Centenary Tennis Clubs, and especially at I.CLTK, wishes Marketa continued success with her blossoming career.
