This was the third time that SALK (Stockholm) had won the Carrickmines Cup, a CTC tournament for players under the age of 12. In another memorable tournament, two teams from Carrickmines competed against SALK (Sweden), Cumberland LTC (England) and RST La Magdalena and Real Club de Polo (Spain).
SALK emerged victorious, securing tight victories against Carrickmines in the semi-finals and against RC Polo, who have been regular participants since 2004, in the final.
Due to heavy rain, the tournament was completed on the indoor courts on day 2!
On the Thursday before the CTC tournament, which features tennis players under the age of 12, CTC clubs Malahide and Salk played a practice match . Malahide won four matches to Salk’s two.
