The RST La Magdalena, winner of the succesful CTC 50/60 held in The Northern

For the first time, The Northern proudly hosted the CTC 50/60 tournament on our pristine grass courts, attracting top-tier teams from across Europe. The competition featured teams from The Northern, LTTC Rot-Weiss Berlin, Real Sociedad de Tenis de La Magdalena, Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, and Haagsche Lawn Tennis Club Leimonias, each bringing their A-game to the lush green courts.

The tournament was fiercely competitive, with every match showcasing the exceptional skill and sportsmanship of the participants. The highlight of the event was the thrilling final between Real Sociedad de Tenis de La Magdalena and Real Club de Polo de Barcelona. After an intense battle, Real Sociedad de Tenis de La Magdalena emerged victorious, clinching the title based on the number of games won, as the teams were tied on sets and rubbers.

Adding to the excitement of the tournament was the celebration summer ball on Saturday night. Over 100 members gathered to welcome and celebrate with the visiting teams, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and festivity.

The CTC 50/60 tournament was a resounding success, and we eagerly anticipate continuing this tradition in the future, offering more opportunities for excellent tennis and memorable experiences on our fantastic grass courts.
