Last August provided a very special moment for WAC in the CTC juniors competition as they won the U-16 tournament held at their club. Their opponents were the young players of Cumberland LTC.
With the overall score tied at 3–3, the final mixed doubles match on Centre Court was set to decide the winner. Despite the pressure, the WAC team performed superbly in front of the crowd, winning the decisive match and securing the overall victory for WAC by 4:3.
This fitting finale to an exciting competition was a particularly memorable moment for our young players. Seeing the junior competition decided by a mixed doubles match on Centre Court also reflected the team spirit and sporting values of the CTC perfectly.
