The traditional tennis weekend kicked off with a festive cocktail reception and Welcome Dinner at the Wiener Park Club. The venue provided a perfect historic backdrop for the occasion: international delegations gathered on the storied grounds of the green Wiener Prater, an area where access in the 19th century was once strictly restricted to those with imperial permission.
Mr. Cenk Bestepe, Vice President of the Wiener Park Club extended a warm welcome to the guests of all three visiting clubs: Westside Lawn Tennis Club from UK, LTTC Rot-Weiss Berlin from Germany and HLTC Leimonias from the Netherlands.
The evening beautifully highlighted international friendship and a shared passion for tennis, which connects these historic clubs across borders. Over cocktails, existing friendships were deepened and new connections were made off the court.

The following day, the action moved to the clay courts of the Wiener Park Club. Spectators witnessed a highly competitive and top-tier Friendly Doubles Tournament. The matches were characterized by high-class rallies, heavily contested tie-breaks, emotional match points and outstanding sportsmanship in the true spirit of the Centenary Tennis Clubs association.
The host team were crowned champions, with LTTC Rot-Weiss Berlin coming in second, followed by Westside Lawn Tennis Club and HLTC Leimonias.
The tournament was a flawless success from both a sporting and interpersonal perspective. It perfectly demonstrated that the deep tradition of tennis serves as a wonderful bridge for fostering international friendships. The Wiener Park Club extends its gratitude to all players, guests, and officials for their attendance, their passion on the court, and the great camaraderie shared off the court.
