Winchester Racquets & Fitness has retained the CTC UK & Irish Friendly Competition title, following a fantastic day of tennis at their club on Saturday 5 September.
The annual competition brought together teams from Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club, East Gloucestershire Club, Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club and Carrickmines Croquet & Lawn Tennis Club, with matches taking place throughout the day in glorious sunshine.
A Strong Day on Court
With every match counting towards the overall result, there was plenty to play for across the day. The Winchester team put in some excellent performances, including wins in both the Ladies’ and Over 55s events.
The competition provided some great tennis across the courts, with plenty of support from members throughout the day as WRF looked to retain the title.
A Great Finish to the Day
Following the tennis, players and guests from all four clubs came together for an evening dinner at the Club.
The evening provided a chance for everyone to relax and enjoy some time together after a busy day of tennis.
