The RC Polo hosted an area group of the Centenary Tennis Clubs Association Senior Competition during the days of September 16, 17 and 18. The teams of Carrickmines from Dublin, Villa Primrose from Bordeaux and Real Club de Tenis Barcelona 1899 took part on the Competition alongside a team from the host Club.
The whole event became a festival of tennis in which a high standard of play was evident from all teams. The tournament was eventually won by the French team of Villa Primrose, who accumulated an impressive final tally of 24 wins and 3 losses during the event.
The participants were also able to take part in some other social activities, which included a bike tour around Barcelona, some paddle tennis and they were also able to get a taste of the Mediterranean menus offered by the club’s restaurant.
