CTC 2013 VILLA PRIMROSE SENIORS

TC Villa Primrose in Bordeaux (FRA) played host to a CTC Senior Competition during the weekend of 6-8 September.

The participating teams came from four different nations, with the host club being joined by squads from the Royal Leopold Club (BEL), TC Geneve (SUI) and Real Sociedad de Tenis de la Magdalena (ESP).

Saturday’s semifinals saw two fairly one-sided matches, with the hosts beating the Spanish team 7-2, while TC Geneve beat the Belgians 9-0.

The final match was as close as the previous results suggested it would be, with the Swiss team eventually outlasting their hosts by the slimmest of margins to claim a 5-4 win and the trophy. The Spaniards had earlier beaten Royal Leopold in the third place play-off.
