As part of the ‘Tennis for a Greener Future’ project, our General Secretary was invited to attend a workshop at Highgate Tennis Club by Phil Vesay, Chair of Middlesex Tennis, which covers 112 tennis clubs and parks in north and west London.
Behaviour expert Livvy Drake talked the nine attending clubs through the process of identifying the measures their club can realistically take to reduce its environmental impact. She shared with the group the importance of addressing what can realistically be done and how to overcome the barriers to implementing the actions.
It was a valuable learning experience, with good practices being shared. The session had a positive outcome, as it was realised that many clubs are already taking action, and that sharing these actions can encourage others to follow suit.
