CTC Colloquium on Challenges Facing Tennis Clubs

The Centenary Tennis Clubs Association hosted its first online colloquium on Friday 15th October. Focusing on the topic of ‘Challenges in Sports Management Facing Tennis Clubs’, the meeting was led by David Sanz, lecturer and researcher and specialist in methodology of tennis coaching and training.  

Participating clubs included Tennis-Club 1899 e.V. Blau-Weiss, Royal Kings Park, River Forest Tennis Club, Seabright Lawn Tennis & Cricket Club, Carrickmines, Cumberland and the RCTB-1899. Mr. Sanz presented data on the number of players currently registered worldwide divided by regions, the importance of recreational tennis for the future of tennis clubs, the role of technology and the importance of the education of coaches, the latter being considered key influencers of the clubs. One of the main conclusions was the need to offer a broad experience of services to be able to maintain the loyalty of the members.
