CTC Secretary visits Californian clubs

On a rainy December day, the CTC General Secretary Berta Tintore was able to visit the California Tennis Club and Berkeley Tennis Club.

The California Tennis Club was founded in 1884 and is located in the heart of San Francisco, a surprising location for such a beautiful club. Thanks to California Tennis Club General Manager, Tim Odenweller (pictured, left), for the tour and for sharing some of the history of the club.

Berkeley Tennis Club was founded in 1906 and counts legends of the sport including Helen Wills Moody and Don Budge amongst its former players. Thanks to Operations Manager Sonia Steverson and club member Ken Stutz (pictured, right) for the illuminating visit.
