CTC South Africa Zone Club Championships

The Centenary Tennis Club South Africa Zone Club Championships were hosted by Wanderers Tennis Club in Johannesburg during the weekend of 20-21 August, and saw some high quality competition from the four participating clubs.

The inaugural event was a great success and saw teams from four clubs in action, featuring players ranging from 30-69 years of age.

The final standings were as follows:

1. Bedfordview Country Club
2. Old Edwardians
3. Wanderers
4. Johannesburg Country Club

The event marked the first time that the CTC competitions have been played on the African continent, with all participants keen to repeat and expand the event in the future. The eventual champions, Bedfordview Country Club (pictured) agreed to host the next event in 2012.
