The Cartagena Campus of the Universidad Católica de Murcia hosted a follow-up meeting for the project, at which the CTC presented the Green Tennis Toolkit that it has been developing over the past few months.
The meeting, which was attended by the eight project partners (Tennis Europe, Collective Innovation, UCAM, Centenary Tennis Clubs, We Play Green, Hungarian Tennis Federation, AIforLives) was led by Burak Caliskan of Collective Innovation.
During the working session, the project partners analysed the results achieved to date and the progress made on new technological tools currently under development. These include the Green Tennis project web, the Educational Materials, the Green Tennis Toolkit mentioned above, a mobile app designed to measure carbon footprints and a gamified training programme intended to encourage more sustainable habits within the tennis community.
The next steps relating to the project’s pilot phase were also outlined, which will enable these solutions to be implemented in clubs, facilities and sporting events. CTC will play an active role in the pilot testing phase, the calendar of which was agreed at the meeting. The dissemination materials to be produced were also set.
