UK & Ireland CTC Challenge

The third annual UK and Ireland CTC Challenge took place on August 31 at Roehampton Club.

The teams from Edgbaston Priory, Cumberland, Carrickmines from Ireland and a combined UK players team including some players from the Queens Club  and the host team Roehampton enjoyed a very close competition.

The Cumberland won both mens’ and ladies’ first team sections, but the crowning glory was for Carrickmines, winning the overall competition by a difference of just one game and taking  home the Trophy.

The event was beautifully prepared by Mr Mark Stanisewsky, Mr Mark Newey and the Roehampton team on the grounds of Roehampton. The players also had the opportunity to enjoy a superb afternoon tea and dinner with lots of dancing.

The fourth UK and Ireland day already has a date and a host; the event is set to take place on September 6, 2014 at the Carrickmines LTC in Dublin
