CTC attends first meeting of GreenTennis project

The Centenary Tennis Clubs Association attended the first face-to-face meeting of GreenTennis, a project that aims to develop practices and tools to promote environmental awareness within the tennis community. The meeting, chaired by Mr Cem Tinaz, TE Vice-President, took place on 29 January in Oslo at the Collective Innovation venue. The roles and tasks for the first part of the project were defined.

The roles and tasks for the first part of the project were defined and will focus on researching the status of environmental sustainability in tennis. This first chapter will be led by UCAM, the Catholic University of Murcia. Among the collaborating entities in the project are We play Green from Norway, the Hungarian Tennis Association, AIforLives GmbH from Germany and Mobile Adventure from Poland.

The Centenary Tennis Clubs Association will be involved in the project’s field study, pilot testing and dissemination of results to the tennis community. The project is supported by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Community.
