CTC U14 RCTB 1899 CUP

Following the summer break, the courts of the RCTB 1899 were once again filled with high quality junior tennis with the celebration of this year’s edition of the Under 14 RCTB 1899 Cup. Four Centenary Tennis Club Association clubs joined the host club’s team for the competition: Real Club de Polo (ESP), RST La Magdalena (ESP), Carrickmines LTC (IRL), and TC Padova (ITA).

The competition was held over three days, from 3 – 5 September, and on this occasion the host club was able to reclaim the title won by I.CLTK Prague for the last two years. In the final, RCTB 1899 beat neighbouring Barcelona club RC Polo 4-2.

Mr. Juan Maria Tintore, President of the Centenary Tennis Clubs Association and Honorary President of the RCTB 1899 was on hand to present the trophy to the wining team and the corresponding medals to the finalists. The participants were unanimous in expressing their gratitude to the host club and to the organizer and referee of the Tournament, Mr. Marc Visiedo.
